Mya was such a little doll for our session. I just love the sweet images that we got while she was all swaddled up. The only thing I didn’t catch on camera that I wish I had was when she gave her mom quite the surprise while we were setting up for their picture together. Who knew so many things could come out of a baby so small!! Too funny! I can’t wait to do their family pictures this summer.
I wasn’t too sure if Miss Paislee was going to stay put insider her Mama’s belly long enough for our photo session to take place, but we made it!! And much to her mother’s relief she also stayed in long enough for Sam to have her baby shower! Woohoo!! It was so much fun taking these and we were even able to get big brother Colten in on the fun for a few shots which was great. You never know what to expect out of a child under 2 but he was awesome! I cannot wait for baby Paislee to be born so I can photograph her beautiful little self. Stay tuned for those pictures!
This was my first session with this family and we have so many more to come. Taylor has signed on to do the whole first year for her little boy and a family session, and I am sooo excited I get to watch this handsome man grow!
After talking on and off for a few months it was so nice to finally meet Heather in person! She also had her mother in tow for the session and she was equally as delightful. Heather is a super duper talented artist so if any of you need any customized web designs, invitations, birth announcements, you name it she can do it! Check her out at Heather Hazard Design. Miss Emmalyn (isn’t that the most beautiful name you’ve ever heard???) wasn’t too into the whole picture thing so when we finally were able to get her to sleep I took advantage of it, shooting tons of angles if the same set ups. This if just the first few, I have to save some surprises for her parents so I can’t show them all! Enjoy 🙂
I have to admit, I was a little nervous before this session, usually my clients are so excited to get their pictures taken, but Megan was really apprehensive. I can totally relate, I really hate anyone taking my picture. (Ironic I know) It was super important to me to make sure that she was relaxed and that she enjoyed herself so we could capture some beautiful maternity images for her to cherish. My usual style is to photograph really close up with a very blurred background, but in this case I wanted to pull back more. In order to do that I needed a really great backdrop, and I knew just the place! I am so happy that she trusted me with this. We took these photos at a small creek near my house at sunset. I have been wanting to photograph here for a long time but because of the super narrow docks/open water there isn’t much room. (usually I have more than one person with me and more than likely there are small children around) Everything worked out perfect for this session, beautiful mama to be, beautiful scenery, beautiful weather! I couldn’t ask for more. I hope that you all enjoy them as much as I do!!
